Sunday Pictures ~ The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

This March will be the 30th anniversary of the robbery at the Isabela Gardner Museum Robbery! This museum is one of my favorite places in the world! An art museum that feels like a rich eccentric friend's mansion. The cloister (shown here) is open to all the rooms in the museum so the smell of flowers and earth follow you wherever you go in the original museum, and they change the plants for each season. So the colors and scents are frequently changing... November's Chrysanthemums are shown in this picture.

Ashley Ouellette  On the night of February 9, 1999, fifteen-year-old Ashley Ouellette was sleeping over at a friend's house. She called to wish her mother, Lise Ouellette, a good night around 10 P.M. Angel Torres - Missing Since May 21, 1999

Angel "Tony" Torres was a student at Framingham State University majoring in business and psychology. His family lived in Denmark, Maine and he was a graduate of Fryburg Academy. Torres was back in Maine with a friend, Jason Carney, to allegedly sell drugs in the Saco and Biddeford areas. Carney claims to have last seen Torres at 2:00 A.M. on May 21 near the Whistle Stop convenience store where Torres hitched a ride in a red truck to either Denmark, Maine or North Conway, New Hampshire. Angel Torres has not been seen since. His family reported him missing on May 24, after he failed to show up for work.  On the night of his disappearance, Torres had been in the company of Steven and Daniel Sanborn. These brothers are possible suspects in the murder of Ashley Erin Ouellette a few months before Torres disappeared.  Torres had told his parents he knew Ashley Ouellette and he "pretty much knew who killed her."  One theory is that he was killed because he kn

Sunday Pictures ~ The Borden's of Fall River (Late 😓)

The spot in the guest bedroom where Abby Borden's body was found. The murder of Andrew and Abby Borden on August 4, 1892, is one of the first crimes I was aware of as a child (Yes, I totally jumped rope to the Lizzie Borden rhyme!). I have also been called Lizzie on multiple occasions by family members for my less than meek attitude. So this case is really close to my heart. I have stayed overnight at the Borden B&B in Fall River twice. The first time in this room, the Morse Room, where Abby Borden was murdered. The second time I stayed in the master bedroom. I totally recommend spending at least one night in the place (The staff is awesome and there is a lot to see! Plus just spending time in the atmosphere is really cool!) There is also a new B&B opening up in Maplecroft (The home of Lizzie and Emma, for a time, after the murders) which I am anxious to go to soon!
